How it works

We look at referral opportunities as partnerships. So we’ve structured a bonus program to thank our partners for referrals.

This includes:

  • A 10% bonus of the total water damage clean up paid to the referring plumber

We have paid out referral bonuses as high as $4,000 to plumbers.

Payments can be mailed to a home, delivered by hand, or even sent through Chase Quick Pay to those who use the service. We want to ensure you receive your referral fees in a timely and efficient manner.

How to refer to Consumer Protection Restoration

Typically, home owners who are experiencing water damage don’t always know who to call to mitigate their damages. They are more willing to take a referral from a professional they trust rather than spending time searching for a company on the Internet. 

When a plumbing technician has an opportunity to refer Consumer Protection Restoration, a soft referral is usually all they need to give us a call. Once the home owner gives us a call from the plumber’s recommendation, we can walk them through the process and set up an appointment to see how we can help.


  1. You respond to a customer’s home experiencing water damage

  2. You give a soft referral to the home owner: “You potentially have significant water damage. I have worked with Consumer Protection Restoration in the past and they do a great job. You may think about giving them a call” – then give the customer our business card

  3. You call to let us know of the referral (this also lets us know who made the referral so we can pay the bonus to the appropriate person)

  4. Customer calls us and we set an appointment to look at the water damage

  5. We evaluate the water damage and give the home owner an assessment of the costs and options for mitigating the damage

  6. We start the water mitigation and you receive the initial $500 referral fee

  7. We finish the water mitigation and collect final payments from the customer

  8. You will receive final estimate amount and remaining applicable payments
